Korschgen "kiddies parade" held on Avenue G in downtown Fort Madison,
is the oldest 4th of July parade in the Tri-State area. At dusk, view a spectacular
fireworks display in Riverview Park.

Iowa PGA Junior Golf Tournament
Open to all junior and college division golfers, the tournament is held at
Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course during the summer months and includes Longest Drive Contest,

Daniel McConn Barn – Christmas Eve
at the Barn
Come celebrate the holidays as they could have been in years past. The only service of its kind, held in a National Historic Landmark. Sing carols by candlelight, take horse drawn carriage rides and enjoy the holidays with family and friends as if it were yester-year. Services are free and nondenominational, and held every year on Christmas Eve.

Held in picturesque Rodeo Park on Scenic
Drive off of Airport Road, this festival 'rises' to the occasion! This
exciting competition balloon race is FREE to the public and boasts fun for
ALL ages! From beautiful Hot Air Balloons flying in the air, to inflatables
on the ground for the kids, music from outstanding bands, and airplane rides
available for all! 
Since
1947, Fort Madison has hosted one of the nation's
top professional rodeos. A 10,000 seat outdoor arena
plays host to four performances, three of which feature
big name Nashville recording artists. Catch the thrill
of this ground pounding PRCA Rodeo action every year
beginning the Wednesday after labor day. 
Although
contemporary Mexican residents of Fort Madison are involved in community-wide
organizations and activities, they have also maintained traditions that reflect
their distinct heritage and interest. A Fiesta Patria celebrating Mexico's independence
from Spain was first held in the early 1900s and the tradition continues today
when The Mexican Fiesta is held annually in mid-September.
