Road Construction
The third and final phase of the Avenue L Project will begin next week! As construction progresses, please continue to use caution near the construction sites.
We are excited to see this project nearing completion and appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as crews begin this final phase of work.
Please note:
Avenue G/Richards Drive remains closed between 27th Street and Oak Drive to protect the bridge from heavy vehicle traffic.
Local traffic-only routes (marked in blue) provide access to nearby businesses—shop local and support Fort Madison!
Bridge Closure
The Fort Madison Bridge will be temporarily closed for maintenance July 7–August 22 and again September 15–November 7.
